Las Vegas, NV – COBALT KINETICS®, an American firearms manufacturer based in St. George, Utah, today launched a new era in the design and function of the sport rifle. Cobalt Kinetics is unveiling its B.A.M.F (Billet Aluminum Modern Firearm), a major refinement of the time-honored AR-15 platform, featuring the patent-pending Dual Drop multi-functional, rear-actuated bolt release.

The B.A.M.F. delivers function, form and performance that is above and beyond in every way,” said Jeremy L., Marketing and Sales Director of Cobalt Kinetics. “We are introducing bold aesthetics to the sport rifle, and have made the most significant AR-15 platform improvement in decades with Dual Drop, our patent-pending multi-functional, rear-actuated bolt release mechanism. After thousands of hours of development and range testing, we are proud to announce that B.A.M.F. is now available in limited numbers.”

With the B.A.M.F., Cobalt Kinetics was inspired to create a work of art that would command the attention of industry experts, seasoned enthusiasts and first-time buyers alike. B.A.M.F. combines state-of-the-art engineering, meticulous hand craftsmanship, stunning bold metallic finishes and vibrant colors. However, this sport rifle is far more than a pretty face.

Its custom-made parts are machined from aircraft-grade, 7075-T6 billet aluminum to ultra-precise tolerances, which makes B.A.M.F. strong and versatile, yet incredibly tight and stable. A beveled magazine well allows for faster, smoother reloading in critical situations. Threaded pins enable faster and easier breakdown and assembly.

Cobalt Kinetic’s patent-pending Dual Drop dual bolt release transforms the traditional forward assist button into a single-handed operation that allows the shooter to drop the bolt from both sides of the upper receiver. For the first time ever in an AR-15 platform, the shooter can release the bolt and pull the trigger almost simultaneously. The Dual Drop saves critical seconds on reloads, minimizes sight time off the target and enables faster, more precise shooting, especially in high adrenaline situations. This feature is currently offered in .223 Wylde, 5.56 Nato and .300 Blk.

The B.A.M.F. will be revealed to media January 19, 2015 on Range Day at Shot Show 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The public will be able to see B.A.M.F. at the Cobalt Kinetics Shot Show Booth #2660 from January 20-23, 2015. B.A.M.F. will be available in limited numbers as Cobalt Kinetics first line of numbered, limited edition firearms.

Members of the media can reserve time at the Cobalt Kinetics booth in advance, or with a Cobalt Kinetics representative by emailing director of sales and marketing Jeremy L. at
